At South Project, we believe in dreaming big and building bold solutions to break generational cycles of poverty. That’s why we’re working to launch the Young Moms Work & Wellness Bridge a 12-month program that will equip 100 young mothers with the tools, training, and mentorship they need to thrive.
This initiative builds on the foundation we’ve already laid through our four core workshops, which actively support young moms in Greater Houston by addressing wellness, education, job readiness, and empowerment. The Bridge Program takes our impact even further turning inspiration into long-term, measurable transformation.
Young mothers under 30 often face intersecting barriers from childcare and transportation to lack of mentorship and financial support. These challenges can delay or derail their dreams of education and stable employment. Our program is designed to remove these barriers, helping moms not just survive but succeed.
We are actively raising $50,000 to launch the first phase of this program in January 2026, which will support 33 young mothers through training, support, and stipends. Our long-term goal is to raise $150,000 to serve all 100 moms enrolled in the full 12-month program.
