About the blogger

Krista Ruffo

Krista Ruffo is an Orlando native with a lifelong love for words, stories, and creativity. She joined South Project as a blogger in February 2025 and brings her passion for storytelling to everything she does. A University of Central Florida graduate with a BA in English and a Certificate in Editing and Publishing, Krista dreams of one day working in book publishing. By day, she works as a Content Coordinator for an Orlando-based family magazine and as a Service Agent for a water treatment company. By night (and whenever inspiration strikes), she’s writing, reading, snapping photos, wandering hiking trails, making art, or getting her hands dirty in the garden.

Karen M. Camacho

Karen M. Camacho is a San Francisco Bay Area native whose creative journey began with design and has grown into a passion for storytelling through writing. She started creating design content for South Project in 2025, where her eye for visuals naturally expanded into blog writing that centers community and purpose. Karen is currently pursuing a B.S. in Visual Communications Design at San Francisco State University, with a minor in Marketing, blending strategy with creativity in everything she creates. Outside of her work and studies, she finds joy in slow moments—practicing yoga, rewatching favorite shows, spending time with her partner and loved ones, and exploring the California coast that continues to inspire her creative voice.
