RICHMOND, Texas (September 5, 2025) – Young mothers across Fort Bend County and beyond
are invited to attend Boss Mom: Turning Passion into Paychecks, an empowering event designed
to help women transform their God-given talents into thriving businesses. The event will be
held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Jones Creek Ranch Park – Jones Hall, 7714
FM 359 Rd., Richmond, TX 77406.
The afternoon program will blend faith, creativity and practical strategies to equip participants
with the tools needed to launch and grow a business.
Featured speakers include:
Unique’ka Shundrell, author of The Glow Up and motivational speaker. Shundrell has shared her
journey on several podcasts and will present “Building Your Brand & Business Basics,” covering
business start-up essentials, branding strategies, marketing and time management tips tailored
for busy mothers.
Isabel Esteviz, a Global Fortune 500 executive, former journalist and single mother of three.
Esteviz is the founder of IOIT2U™ and creator of 3 A.M. Confidence™, a framework designed to
help high achievers lead with authentic, sustainable confidence. She will guide attendees on
aligning their values and vision while building a purpose-driven business.
Erin Sweed, a Houston-based model and talent booker, career advisor and graduate of Texas
A&M University. A young mother herself, Sweed earned a bachelor’s degree in business
administration with minors in psychology, communication and international marketing. She
brings extensive experience mentoring youth and guiding aspiring talent to success in modeling,
business and life.
“Boss Mom is about more than just business,” said Juanita Samuels, founder of South Project.
“It’s about helping young mothers recognize that they were created with purpose, and that
purpose can produce. We want them to leave feeling confident, connected and ready to step
into their entrepreneurial journey.”
The event will include motivational talks, interactive discussions and faith-based encouragement
for young mothers at all stages of their business journey. Whether participants are exploring a
side hustle or preparing to launch a full-time venture, they will gain practical tips and spiritual
grounding to help them succeed.
